Brickell Men’s Anti Aging Serum Review: Why This Night Serum Works for Aging Skin
A 49-year-old guy's take on the Brickell Men's Anti Aging Serum: four to five drops, no smell, and why I damp my face first.
The Brickell Men’s Anti Aging Serum is worth buying if you want a men’s anti aging step that doesn’t leave you smelling like cologne at bedtime. It’s a 1 oz bottle, thicker than most serums, and four to five drops covers forehead, face, ears and neck. I use it nightly. Easy buy.

Five Drops, Forehead First
I’m 49, and this is one of my main things at night before bed. The Brickell Men’s Anti Aging Serum is the one bottle in my routine I’d replace the same day it ran out. Here’s exactly how I do it: splash the face down a little, not a lot, because I don’t want it running. Then four to five drops. One, two, three, four, five. Forehead first, since that’s obviously the biggest place I’ve got, up around the hairline, then pull it down through the face.
I actually had to go back for a little more, because I was short for my ears and the sides of my neck. That stuff’s aging too, and I want to hold onto it as long as I can.
It Won’t Fix What You’re Hoping It Fixes
This is a nighttime step, not a morning one, and that matters. If you’re after a daytime moisturizer with sun protection, the serum isn’t that product and won’t pretend to be. It’s a repairing night serum, full stop.
Also: 1 ounce. If you’re hitting ears and neck like I do, five drops a night goes faster than you’d think, and I’m reaching for more drops mid-application fairly often. Guys who only do forehead and cheeks will stretch it a lot further. And if you’re the type who wants your skincare to smell like something, you’ll find this boring. There’s no smell to it hardly whatsoever.
What’s Going On In the Bottle
Five active ingredients in one dropper: Vitamin C for brightness, MSM to support collagen, plant stem cells, hyaluronic acid, and green tea as an antioxidant backstop. The serum runs orange in the bottle, that’s the Vitamin C, and it’s a useful visual cue that you’re not just paying for water.
The texture is the part that matters most. It’s a thicker serum. Thicker than the watery stuff I’ve used from other men’s brands, which is why the damp-face trick matters so much. Put it on bone-dry skin and five drops barely covers a forehead. Put it on slightly damp skin and the same five drops spread across the whole face. That one habit is the difference between this bottle lasting and this bottle disappearing.
The other thing I keep coming back to is the scent, or the lack of one. I’ve done a bunch of these men’s skin cares that are super perfumey. For a nighttime routine, getting ready to go to bed, I don’t want to be super perfumey. I just want to feel like my face has been moisturized. That’s it. This one does that and then gets out of the way.
Living With a 1 Ounce Bottle
The only real variable with this bottle is how fast you burn through it. Damp face before every application and you stretch it; skip that step and a 1 oz bottle disappears in weeks, not months.
Check today’s price and move on. It’s also sitting around #66,756 in Beauty & Personal Care with more than 100 bought in the past month, which is a steady repeat-buyer product, not a viral spike.
Night One With It
Start by washing your face properly. I didn’t have time before my demonstration, so I just wet mine down a little, but you really should wash it. Then five drops, forehead, hairline, pull it down, ears, neck. That’s pretty much it.
The bottle says it pairs with their anti aging cream, and I do follow it up with that. You don’t have to get both. The serum is probably the most popular piece of the whole kit for a reason, and it stands fine on its own.
Where This Lands in a Men Anti Aging Routine
This right here, to me, is one of the mainstays of a good facial routine. I love Brickell. I’ve got all their moisturizers, I’ve got their beard stuff, and they know what they’re doing when it comes to men’s skin and taking care of it.
The trade-off is simple: thicker serum, small bottle, and you have to learn the damp-face step or you’ll burn through it. What you get back is a men’s anti aging step with no perfume cloud at bedtime, which is rarer in this category than it should be. If holding your skin together longer is the goal, this is the bottle I’d start with, and at 49, I’m not swapping it out.
Pros
- Hardly any scent, which is what I want before bed
- Four to five drops covers face, ears and neck
- Vitamin C, MSM and plant stem cells all in one bottle
- Works on its own, no need to buy the paired cream
- Thicker consistency feels like it’s doing something, not just water
Cons
- Thick enough that it drags on dry skin, I have to damp my face first
- I ran short mid-application and had to go back for more drops
- 1 ounce goes quickly if you cover ears and neck too
- Night-only product, so it’s not your whole routine
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use it in the morning instead of at night?
It’s built as a repairing night facial serum, so night is where it belongs. Nothing stops you from using it in the morning, but you’d still want a separate daytime moisturizer over it.
Does it work with sensitive or oily skin?
Brickell lists it as suitable for men of any age with any skin type. It absorbs fairly quickly for how thick it is, so oily skin shouldn’t feel coated, but if you react to vitamin C products generally, patch test first.
Do I need the anti aging cream too?
No. The label says they pair well and I use both, but the serum is sold alone and works alone. Start with just the serum and add the cream later if you want more.
Is Brickell a legit brand or an Amazon label?
Legit. They’ve been doing men’s skincare since 2014, sell in over 100 countries, and have shown up in GQ and Men’s Health. This isn’t a white-label bottle with a new sticker on it.
