ENEPHE Lamborghini Veneno RC Drift Car Review
Hands-on with the ENEPHE Lamborghini Veneno 1:24 RC drift car: two batteries, a speed dial, bald drift tires, and cones in the box.
My very first push of the throttle sent it somewhere unexpected, then five minutes later I was doing donuts in the middle of my cone course. It ships with two rechargeable car batteries, the AAs for the remote, cones, and enough charge to drive immediately. Great controls, dialable speed. Buy it.

Quick Verdict
First run, it took off the opposite direction of where I pointed it. Five minutes later I was doing donuts in the middle of my cone course and laughing. I went in expecting a throwaway licensed toy and ended up spending way longer on the floor doing donuts than the video needed.
Buy if you:
- are wrapping this as a gift and want it drivable the second the paper comes off
- have a younger kid who needs the speed dialed down to stay in control
- want to drift indoors on a smooth floor without swapping tires
- like Lamborghini and want a 1:24 Veneno with working headlights and underglow
Skip if you:
- expect to steer it accurately on the first try. I didn’t, and the direction it went was not the direction I pushed
- want a big-scale hobby RC. This is a 1:24 mini, not a 1:10 basher
- don’t want to deal with a screw to swap the bald drift tires on

Oh No. That Did Not Go the Way I Thought.
My very first push of the throttle sent the car somewhere I wasn’t expecting. Right off the bat. That’s not a knock on the ENEPHE Lamborghini Veneno RC drift car, that’s a knock on me not knowing which way the thing was facing. Ten seconds later I had it threading between the cones.
They call it a drift car because it comes with a second set of tires that are completely bald. The stock tires have a little texture on them. Here’s the thing: I never swapped them. This still drifts exactly the way I want it to on the stock set, and there’s a little screw on the wheel if you ever do want to change them out.
Then I got greedy and did donuts in the middle of the course. That’s super cool. Small car, tight rotation, underglow lighting the floor up while it spins.
Everything You Need Right Out of the Gate
No setup tax here. It came with two batteries for the car, so you can run one and charge the other, and it came with the two AA batteries for the remote. The car battery arrives with enough charge in it that you can drive the minute you open it.
That matters more than people give it credit for. If somebody’s opening gifts, they want to play with it right then, not sit through a charge cycle while the rest of the presents get opened. ENEPHE rates the two 3.7V 500mAh packs at up to 60 minutes of play between them.
The cones are worth mentioning because they give you an immediate test: thread them at low sensitivity, then crank it up and see how fast the course turns into a demolition derby.
Turning it on is simple: when you power up, the lights stop blinking and it’s ready to go. The underglow is on the bottom, headlights on the front, and when I backed it up the brake lights came on. On a 1:24 car, those details are more than I expected.
The Speed Dial Is the Reason This Works for Kids
The sensitivity dial is what separates this from most cheap RC cars: dial it down and a kid keeps it between the cones; dial it up and it hits 15 km/h. Most of them have one speed: too fast for a small kid in a living room.
I ran it both ways on camera. Dial it down and a younger kid can actually keep it between the cones instead of pinballing it off the baseboards. Dial it up and you’re at full tilt, up to a claimed 15 km/h on a 1:24 body, which looks a lot faster than the number sounds when it’s at floor level. Whoa. That is a lot of fun.
So when you’re cross-shopping this against the wall of near-identical RC drift car listings, that’s the thing to look for. Officially licensed Lamborghini bodies are everywhere. A variable speed dial, two included packs, and spare drift tires in the same box is a different offer. Current pricing is on the Amazon listing.
Would I Put It on the List? Yes.
I went in expecting a throwaway licensed badge job and ended up flat on the floor, running the second battery pack dry, while my camera sat idle. The controls are precise enough that I could thread cones within ten minutes; the speed dial means I could have handed it to a four-year-old ten minutes before that.
It’s fast if you need to be fast. You can slow it down if you want. The lights are a real feature, not a sticker. And the second battery means the fun doesn’t stop halfway through the afternoon.
At 1:24 scale with two batteries, a speed dial, working underglow, and cones already in the box, it beats every bare-bones licensed listing at the same price point on sheer out-of-box readiness alone.
Pros
- Drives right out of the box with a partial charge already in the battery
- Two car batteries plus the two AAs for the remote are included
- Speed sensitivity dial on the remote lets you slow it down for younger drivers
- Drifts fine on the stock textured tires, bald spares included if you want more slide
- Working headlights, brake lights and underglow on a 1:24 body
- Practice cones in the box
Cons
- My first throttle input sent it the opposite way I expected, there’s a short orientation learning curve
- Swapping to the bald drift tires means dealing with a screw on each wheel
- At full sensitivity it gets away from you fast in a small room
Frequently Asked Questions
Can it run outside or only on indoor floors?
Both. ENEPHE rates it for indoor and outdoor use across various surfaces. I drove mine indoors on a smooth floor, which is where the drifting works best.
What age is it really for?
ENEPHE lists it for ages 3 to 12 and adults. Realistically the speed dial is what makes the low end work, turn it down for a 3 or 4 year old or they’ll just bounce it off furniture.
Will the remote interfere with another RC car nearby?
It runs on 2.4GHz, which is the standard that lets multiple cars run in the same room without crossing signals. Two kids racing in one space should be fine.
Do I have to install the bald drift tires to drift?
No. I left the textured stock tires on the whole time and it still slides exactly how I want. The bald set is there if you want a looser, longer drift.
