Quick Verdict
2,315 lb of rated capacity, and no, that’s not how much you can weigh. That’s you plus everything on the bar. I’m 6’3″, I want a bigger back pad and seat, and this has it. That’s what matters for my lifting.
Buy if you:
- are a bigger or taller lifter who’s slid off narrow 10-inch pads before
- want one bench that covers flat, incline, 90° upright and decline instead of three
- need to roll it under a power rack between squat and bench work
- are starting a home gym and want to buy once instead of upgrading in a year
Skip if you:
- need to lift it up stairs or stow it vertically in a closet, the heavy 4mm steel frame is not a one-hand carry
- only ever bench flat and will never touch the 10 backrest positions
- want a red-free gym, this one is loud red and black

2,300 lb Is Not a Typo

Most benches top out around 500 or 600 lb. This one is rated at 2,315 lb, and that number confuses people, so let me clear it up first: that’s you plus the weight on top of you, not a bodyweight limit. Still a lot of weight. YOLEO sent me this commercial weight bench because I’m a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach and, obviously, no stranger to home gym equipment. So I put it in my own rack and used it.
The capacity comes from the build. Super heavy thick steel all the way through the skeleton, top to bottom. The listing calls it 4mm 8-gauge with a 3-post design and a triangular frame. I can’t measure gauge with my eyes, but I can tell you nothing on this frame flexed or wobbled while I was on it.
The Notches Are My Favorite Part
The open notches down the back give you 10 stops from -15° decline to 90° upright, and you change angles by lifting the backrest and dropping it into the next notch, no pin to pull, no lever to hunt for. That’s the whole FID pitch: flat, incline, decline, and full upright in one frame, and none of it requires tools.
But it’s not just the back. The seat on the front adjusts to different positions too, 3 of them from 0° to 30°. That combination is where the versatility actually comes from. Ten backrest angles times three seat angles is a lot of different workouts out of one piece of equipment.
The padding is the other thing. Extremely thick cushioning on the seat and the back, 2.4 inches of it, on a 32-inch backrest. Me as a bigger guy, I appreciate that. I need a bigger back piece and seat. This has it.
Curls at 90°, Then Straight Under the Rack
I ran the seat up at a pretty high angle and did some curls sitting there, and that’s the whole argument for this bench in one test. A bench that I can use and that’s comfortable isn’t just about comfort. It’s also about stability. If it was just flat like this, depending on the workout I’m doing, I might slide off. With the seat kicked up, I’m anchored.
Then I bumped the back to 90° to get really concentrated on the back. Back stability, seat stability, no shifting. It is a very versatile overall weight bench.
Moving it is the part a lot of people undersell. I dropped the backrest flat, grabbed the handle on the front, tipped it onto the big wheels and slid it right under my rack. Ten seconds and I’m set up for chest exercises. That’s a real workflow advantage if you’re running a rack and a bench in the same footprint, and it’s why a commercial weight bench with wheels beats a fixed flat bench in a garage gym.
That’s the entire case for this bench in one workflow: seated curls locked in by the seat angle, then 10 seconds flat and under the rack for chest. Every other bench in my garage makes me choose one or the other.
You Have to Reset the Seat Every Time
Here’s the friction: rolling under the rack means lowering the backrest, which means when I get under there I have to change the seat back to the position that helps me feel stable. On paper it sounds minor. In practice it’s an extra step every single time you transition between a seated movement and a flat press.
The notch system is fast, the listing says one second and that tracks, but it’s still one more thing to remember mid-workout. If you like grabbing a bench and going without thinking, a plain flat bench has fewer moving parts. The trade is that a flat bench does one job.
The weight cuts both ways too. All that heavy steel is why it doesn’t move under load. It’s also why this isn’t the bench you’re carrying up a flight of stairs alone.

Bigger Lifters and Rack Owners
If you’re over six feet, this is the category of bench you want. I’m 6’3″, and the 32-inch backrest supports my head instead of ending at my shoulder blades. The wide base at the back is the other piece: I want to throw around a decent amount of weight, and I need a bench that holds me from a size standpoint, not only a weight standpoint.
It also fits the person building a home gym from scratch who doesn’t want to buy twice. One frame covering decline through 90° upright means you’re not adding a second bench in six months.
Versus a Standard Flat Bench
A flat bench wins on price and on nothing else here, and even the price argument collapses the moment you price out a second bench for incline work. Most flat benches top out at 500 to 600 lb and give you one angle; if your entire program is barbell flat pressing and you never touch a dumbbell at an incline, that’s the rational buy. Almost nobody’s program actually looks like that.
The moment you want incline dumbbell work, seated shoulder press at 90°, or decline for lower pecs, you’re buying two or three pieces of equipment instead of one. That’s the trade.
Set the Seat Before You Load the Bar
Dial the seat angle in before you pick up a dumbbell, not after. I set mine high for seated curls and it changed how locked-in I felt immediately. Most people leave the seat flat by default and never touch it, which wastes the best feature on the bench.

Measure your rack clearance too. The whole slide-under move only works if the bench height, 17.7 inches to IPF standard, clears your rack’s bottom crossmember with the backrest flat.
Pros
- 2,315 lb rated capacity, well beyond the 500-600 lb most benches stop at
- Full FID: -15° decline through 90° upright, 10 backrest positions plus 3 seat positions
- Extremely thick 2.4 in padding on a 32 in backrest, which matters if you’re a bigger lifter
- Big wheels and a front handle, so it rolls under a rack in seconds
- Heavy thick steel through the whole skeleton, no flex under me at 6’3″
Cons
- You reset the seat angle every time you transition from seated work to flat pressing under the rack
- The steel that makes it stable also makes it a two-person move up stairs
- Overkill if you only ever bench flat
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the YOLEO bench come assembled?
It ships flat-packed like essentially every bench in this class, so plan on bolting the frame together. Set aside floor space and a socket wrench. Check the current listing for the included hardware before you order.
Will it fit under a standard power rack?
Mine slides under my rack with the backrest dropped flat. The bench sits at the IPF-standard 17.7 inches, so measure your rack’s bottom crossmember clearance against that before buying.
Is the padding vinyl or real leather?
PU twill leather over 160D high-density pearl sponge. PU holds up better against sweat and scuffing than the cheap PVC on budget benches, and it feels less sticky on bare skin.
How do I clean the upholstery?
Wipe it down with a damp cloth after sweaty sessions and dry it. Avoid alcohol gym wipes as a daily habit, since they dry out PU surfaces over time and that’s what causes cracking at the stitch lines.
Will it scratch or dent my gym floor?
The feet are 4.5 x 4.5 inch reinforced rubber pads, which spread the load across a wide area instead of point-loading it. On bare concrete or rubber flooring you’re fine. On hardwood or vinyl plank I’d still put a mat down given how much weight ends up on those four pads.
Can two people share it in a small garage gym?
Yes, and the adjustment speed is why. The C-shaped locking mechanism changes angle in about a second, so partner sets don’t stall while someone fights a pin. It’s built for commercial fitness clubs, so back-to-back use is the intended job.
What usually fails first on a bench like this?
Upholstery seams and the adjustment mechanism, in that order. Neat stitching and a powder-coated frame are what the listing leans on for durability, and the powder coating is the part that decides whether the frame rusts in a humid garage. Keep it off a wet floor.
Do I need a commercial weight rack to make this worth it?
No. Dumbbell work alone justifies it: incline press, seated shoulder press at 90°, and decline all in one frame. A rack just unlocks barbell pressing on top of that.
What color options are there?
Mine is the red and black, and I love the red. Check the live listing for other finishes, since color availability on these shifts with stock.
